The Motto

The Orb Apps are built to one motto: no account, no cloud, no subscription — yours to keep.

I build small, single-purpose apps. Every one of them works with no internet, asks for no login, and keeps everything on your own device. There is nothing to sign up for, nothing to sync, and nothing watching.

Most software today is rented. It wants your email, then your card, then a monthly fee for the rest of your life — and the day you stop paying, your own records lock you out. I think a tool should be more like a good wrench: you get it once, it does its job, and it's yours.

So that's the deal with every app in this line, now and for every app that comes later. Install it and it works — on a job site with no signal, in a basement shop, on a plane. Your data never leaves your device, so there's nothing for me to lose, leak, or sell. There's no account to hack because there's no account.
